Apple Spiced Chai Bread

Ingredients
- Ingredients for loaf batter
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 large egg
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1½ tsp vanilla extract
- Ingredients for apple filling
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 ½ Tbs Apple Spiced Chai Tea Mix
- 1 cup diced apples
Instructions
- Instructions for loaf batter:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9”x5” inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray or vegetable oil.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour with baking soda.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together egg, brown sugar and granulated sugar.
- In the bowl with the egg mixture, add whole milk, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil, and whisk until combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Instructions for apple filling:
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, Apple Spiced Chai Tea Mix and diced apples until the apples are thoroughly coated.
- Prepare for baking:
- Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan.
- Layer chai-spiced apples on top of batter.
- Pour the rest of the batter into the pan, covering the apple layer.
- Bake:
- Bake the chai spiced apple loaf cake in the oven for about 45-50 minutes. Insert a toothpick into the center. If the toothpick comes out clean, it is ready. Allow the bread to cool for several minutes before slicing. Serve the chai spiced apple loaf cake warm or cool.
